While large (up to 24″), it’s surprisingly calm and interacts with keepers — often swimming to the glass at feeding time. Needs a 150+ gallon tank with soft sand, strong current, and hiding spots. Feeds on live or frozen foods — not flake. Not aggressive toward large tankmates. We raise ours in deep, flowing systems to encourage natural foraging behavior.
